Job Description

Appliance Warehouse is a retail store that sells household appliances. We are looking for someone who is experienced in appliance delivery and installation. We are a small company of 5 employees, so you would be working closely with the other delivery person, as well as the other salesman. We make sure to manage the delivery days to not overload, or overwork the delivery guys.

This would be a lead role, you'd work with one other person, and would work and manage independently when on the road. You would be responsible for loading and operating our 16 foot box truck in various parts of Southern Maine. We use Shoulder Dollies to carry the appliances, which can be as heavy as 400 - 450 pounds, but we do have appliance dollies available as well but we try to limit the use of those as much as possible. Installation of the appliances would include Range Cord, Dryer Cord, Washer Hoses, Drain Hoses, and reusing the existing Refrigerator Water-Line. We use third-party contractors to install Dishwasher, Microwaves, Wall-Ovens, Gas Appliances, Cooktops, etc.

The work hours are typically 7am-5pm, Tuesday-Wednesday-Friday-Saturday. However, you would be paid for 40 hours even when you might finish early some weeks. Ideally because this is a lead delivery and installation role, we would expect good customer service skills and willingness to go above and beyond for the customer, to an extent.

This job pays between $46,800 - $52,000 a year, or $22.5/hr - $25/hr, based on experience and aptitude. When you do get tipped, you would split it with the other delivery person. You would get 2-Weeks earned vacation, and benefits can be negotiated as well.
