We are seeking a proactive and versatile Handy Man to join our maintenance team, dedicated to ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. Duties

Perform routine and preventive maintenance across multiple facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components. Troubleshoot and repair equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding tasks for structural repairs or fabrication projects as needed. Manage electrical systems, including wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks. Oversee residential painting projects to maintain the aesthetic quality of the premises. Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks. Supervise or assist in supervising other maintenance staff or contractors during projects or repairs. Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility protocols during all maintenance activities. Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and professionally. Lead small teams or projects when necessary, demonstrating leadership skills in facilities maintenance operations. Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed for various repair tasks.

Requirements

Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields within manufacturing or residential environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams confidently. Electrical experience including working with wiring, circuits, PLCs, and troubleshooting electrical issues using tools like ohmmeters. Skilled in welding techniques for structural repairs or fabrication purposes. Experience with CMMS software for work order management is preferred. Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus for aesthetic upkeep tasks. Supervising experience demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing teams or projects effectively. Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and report on maintenance activities clearly. Familiarity with safety standards related to facilities maintenance and industrial environments. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, or working in confined spaces safely.
