Tutor Doctor New Jersey, a locally owned tutoring company proudly serving our community for over 14 years, is seeking an experienced

AP Tutors

to support high-school students across a variety of Advanced Placement subjects. While our immediate needs are in

AP Physics, AP Calculus, and AP Economics

, we welcome candidates with expertise in

any AP-level course

.



We are looking for tutors who have a strong understanding of AP-level curriculum, experience supporting students in rigorous academics, and the ability to adapt instruction to individual learning needs. This role involves one-to-one tutoring, usually in-home, sometimes online, depending on the family's preference.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized instruction in AP subjects (Physics, Calculus, Economics, or other qualified AP subjects). Support students in mastering course content, preparing for exams, and developing study skills. Review assignments, clarify concepts, and guide students through problem-solving techniques aligned with AP standards. Communicate progress and session updates in a timely and professional manner via session reports.

Qualifications

Prior experience working with

AP curriculum and/or AP students

is required. Strong subject-matter expertise in one or more AP courses; multiple AP subjects is a plus. Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field preferred. Previous tutoring or teaching experience is required. Reliable transportation for in-home sessions. Ability to work independently and maintain consistent communication.
