Bring your passion for English Language Arts and ignite the curious minds of the youth in the Bronx, NY! Cross Country Education is searching for an engaged English Language Arts Teacher eager to contribute to a collaborative, high-expectations school culture for the '25-'26 school year.
Position Overview:

• Develop and implement a rigorous AP-level English Language Arts curriculum for 10th and 11th-grade students to ensure college readiness and successful AP exam performance.
• Administer, collect, and analyze both formative and summative assessment data (quizzes, projects, state-aligned exams) to assess student progress, provide targeted feedback, and adapt instructional methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Engage in the school community as a proactive and collaborative member of the educational team, contributing to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (Required)
• New York City Teaching Certificate (Preferred)

• Non-Certified must hold a minimum of 12 credits in the subject area (ELA) and be able to provide an official transcript
• 1-2 years of high school ELA teaching experience, including specific experience teaching Advanced Placement (AP) ELA, ideally within a diverse or urban school setting
