About us
Breakaway Prep is a small tutoring business based in Chatham, NJ with offices in Summit, Millburn, Maplewood, Livingston, Morristown, Berkeley Heights, and Montclair. We primarily teach the SAT, ACT, AP, and ISEE/SSAT tests, as well as specific academic classroom subjects, to students ranging from 7th-12th grade.
Looking for tutors
Are you an experienced academic tutor looking for more clients? Do you have a strong track record working with students in Middle School and High School? Are you a teacher interested in teaming up with some of Northern Jersey's best tutors and college counselors?
We are a boutique tutoring and test prep company looking for passionate and sociable teachers and tutors available to work in our Chatham, Madison, Summit, Short Hills, Maplewood, and Livingston offices. When you join our team you set your own schedule for one-on-one tutoring.
Compensation starts at $50 per hour.
Requirements:
1. 1+ years of experience tutoring or teaching Economics, with a strong preference for AP Economics.
2. Competitive educational background.
3. Has reliable transportation.
4. Passion for teaching and strong social skills.
5. Strong verbal and written communicator.
6. Multiple positive recommendations.
