Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Anodizing Line Operator to join our team. The Line Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment on the manufacturing line.
Anodizing Line Operator - Duties and Responsibilities:
Transferring racks of parts from tank to tank following procedure.
Proper care and handling of parts to avoid damage.
Calibrate and adjust pH of dyes using pH meter.
Record necessary racking and un-racking information on work order.
Identify and report non-conformances
Maintaining and monitoring equipment to ensure proper performance and calibration.
Keeping workspaces clean and organized.
Work safely at all times and comply with all safety regulations while working with Hazardous materials and chemicals.
Work with a positive attitude and report all questions or problems to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed including chemicals additions and draining of rinse tanks.
Physical/Environmental Chemical Hazards
Sharp parts, sharp tooling, heavy carts, occasional hot and cold temperature and humidity levels, heat from ovens, moderate noise levels, limited hand and air tool use, compressed air (must use hearing protection).
Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. unassisted.
Must be able to differentiate between color variances.
Potential splash exposure near process lines.
Various chemicals used in process.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Previous metal finishing experience required (Anodizing experience strongly preferred. Candidates with previous in zinc and/or electroless nickel plating, or powder coating will also be considered.)
