Job Overview

We are a busy 9-doctor practice that is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented person to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for both animals and staff within our facility and assisting the technicians. This position requires a strong understanding of animal care and hygiene standards, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Do you love animals? Then you're halfway there. Previous experience is amazing, but not required. We will provide training onsite for this position.

Duties/Skills

Perform daily cleaning tasks in various areas of the facility, including kennels, examination rooms, and common areas. Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained according to safety standards. Dispose of waste materials properly and follow protocols for hazardous materials. Assist with the care of animals by maintaining cleanliness in their living spaces, walking, feeding, bathing, medication administration, IVC and pump troubleshooting and monitoring of vital signs. Assist the certified technicians with restraint, monitoring and catheter placement. Ability to perform animal restraint safely when necessary Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Current or former pet ownership is an advantage Excellent communication skills Patient and caring personality Ability to follow instructions properly Comfortable being around animals (cats, dogs, birds, reptiles etc.) Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 50 lbs)

This position is full time. Flexible to days as long as it meets what the hospital needs. Must be able to work weekends. Some holidays are also required. Shifts vary from starting at 6am, 8am or 11am.

Salary Range: starting at $16.00+ per hour, depending on experience
