Position: Animal Care Technician

Job Summary



As an Animal Care Technician, you'll provide hands-on care and comfort for the pets staying in our facility. You'll help ensure every pet's experience is safe, healthy, and enjoyable while supporting our team with a variety of daily care tasks.



Responsibilities include:


Assisting with pet check-in and check-out procedures Feeding, cleaning, and sanitizing pet areas Supervising playtime and activities Documenting behavior and wellness observations Reporting any health or safety concerns to supervisors Performing wellness checks and following care schedules Supporting other departments (like doggy daycare) with training Participating in required training (e.g., nail trims, bathing, Pet Taxi driving - restrictions apply)

Qualifications


Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar animal care or kennel position (preferred) Knowledge of basic animal first aid Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays Physically able to handle the demands of the role -- standing for long periods, lifting, bending, mopping, and safely managing dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments Strong multitasking and time management skills in a lively, high-energy environment Passion for working with animals and providing excellent care
