Come work at MiVet Animal Clinic! We proudly offer our patients, consisting of dogs, cats, rabbits, rodents, non-venomous snakes, lizards, turtles, birds, and miniature pigs, comprehensive and compassionate veterinary medical, surgical, and dental care, and are currently seeking a

full-time, animal care assistant

to aid in extending quality care to all pets under our supervision.

Your Responsibilities:

As an animal care assistant with MiVet, your primary focus will be the care and maintenance of patients within our facility. Duties include cleaning and maintaining kennels, feeding, and administering medications, assisting with basic grooming/bathing, and maintaining accurate medical records. Ideally candidates will possess:

Friendly or Fear Free handling skills (required) Proficiency administering medications via IV, subcutaneously, and orally Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted Ability to meet/maintain high standards of sanitation throughout the hospital Ability to communicate using veterinary terminology both verbally and in writing Ability to maintain accurate digital medical records using practice software Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Experience with various administrative tasks
