Job Summary

Apply today and start your journey as our Program Coordinator ( Center for Teaching, Learning, and Employee Development) for the home of the Geckos-GateWay Community College. The Program Coordinator working in a Center for Teaching, Learning, and Employee development is responsible for providing essential administrative support to the department, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings and events, managing departmental budgets, and processing necessary paperwork. The Program Coordinator is often the first point of contact for the department and is responsible for responding to inquiries from faculty and staff members and providing excellent customer service. This position is also responsible for supporting a variety of instructional technologies, including maintaining, updating documentation, troubleshooting and providing basic support. In addition to administrative and instructional support, this position would be responsible for marketing the department, including developing and maintaining the departmental website and designing and producing marketing materials, and organizing internal events.

Essential Functions





25% - Supports the CTLED with administrative duties such as scheduling, internal and external meetings and meeting rooms; creating purchase orders and requisitions; tracking expenditures; assisting with budget preparation, monitoring and maintenance; preparing and maintaining confidential personnel records. Assists with contracts events/programs and services including intercampus collaborations and travel arrangements; supports the CTLED by using technological skills and business systems such as FMS, HCM, SIS, Google Calendar/Drive/Sheets/Slides/Docs, 25Live reservation system, etc. 25% - Provides comprehensive administrative duties such as special event management related to the CTLED mission. Coordinates, promotes and manages multiple events internally and externally (Weekly, Monthly, Semi-Annually, and Annually) of various sizes and complexity impacting employees, District employees, learning community members, and community members at large. 25% - Responds to and troubleshoots technical and instructional support questions and requests (including help desk, email, phone, and in-person) for the Canvas learning management system (LMS) used in all course modalities (including hybrid, online, live-online, and in-person courses) as well as other instructional and workspace technologies. Serves as a Canvas LMS Administrator (creates courses and users; copies courses; enrolls users; creates support documentation). 20% - Develops and maintains the departmental website and designing and produces marketing materials, and organizes internal events. 5% - Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications





Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or a directly related field and one (1) year of experience in researching information, gathering data, performing preliminary analysis and preparing reports. OR An Associate\xe2\x80\x99s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or a directly related field and (3) three years of experience in researching information, gathering data, performing preliminary analysis and preparing reports. OR A High School Diploma/GED from a regionally accredited institution and five (5) years of experience in researching information, gathering data, performing preliminary analysis and preparing reports.


Desired Qualifications





A. Experience in administrative support serving diverse customers to manage multiple projects simultaneously

B. Experience in marketing and promotion creating marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, newsletters, and websites to attract potential participants

C. Experience with events management (coordinating meetings, logistics, budget, vendors, and stakeholder communication)

D. Experience providing technical support with applications such as Google Suite, Microsoft, Learning Management Systems, etc.

E. Experience in budget management and purchasing utilizing financial management principles, procurement processes, and contract management
