C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. Analyst, Transportation Operations Planning in Keene, New Hampshire

The Analyst, Transportation Operations Planning is responsible for daily execution and meeting service expectations for C&S operations while mitigating spend. The Analyst coordinates and executes timely tendering of freight while managing capacities and on-time pick-up and delivery of up to 50% of total C&S freight, with a focus on expense. This position requires development and maintenance of strong working relationships with manufacturers, carriers, procurement, merchandising, warehousing, National Logistics Team and other internal customer partners.

Location Keene, NH (Hybrid offered post training)

Weekend & Holiday coverage required.

Shift: This position will work until approximately 7pm nightly. Regular schedule for this team includes Saturdays weekly. Tentative schedule is (4) 10 hr. shifts OR (5) 8 hr. shifts.

You will contribute by :

Financial: Analyze individual lanes and determine which carrier is best utilized on each lane. Their decision directly impacts net margin as well as overall service to C&S and our customers. Operations Analyst\'s develop action plans for under-performing lanes, coaching and developing as needed. Responsible for lane-level costs. Constantly reviewing low and under-performing lanes and negotiating with carriers, ensuring transfer and pullback lanes are cost-effective, providing customers viable options for one-off service level needs.

Carrier Management: Responsible for sourcing, developing and maintaining relationships with regional and national carriers, leveraging this relationship to ensure the cost-effective, timely delivery of freight. Responsible for maintaining Fleet and 3rd Party carrier pools at shippers and C&S DC\'s, as well as investigate and process accessorial fees using reporting and analytics.

Operational Execution: Make improvements on service-related issues and headwinds in partnership with all relevant parties, i.e. Procurement, Warehousing, Regional Fleet Transportation Teams, Customer Experience Team, National Logistics Team. Tender freight to carriers based on greatest financial impact to C&S as well as overall carrier service, ensuring efficient operational execution impacting Warehousing, Procurement and C&S customer base.

Skills:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel) and Gmail or Google Workspace

Special Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail and analytical skills

Other: Sound statistical acumen, interpretation, and analytical ability. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.

Years Of Experience

• 2-5 : Experience working as a team in Supply Chain /Logistics, Transportation, or other relevant experience
