About this Role:
Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst II is responsible for the independent performance of complex analytical assignments for the Substance Use Disorder Licensing and Certification Section (SUDLCS) that includes monitoring a caseload of substance use disorder (SUD) programs.
Substantial travel statewide, including overnight, of up to 50% of the time, by airplane, train, automobile, and other transportation methods is required to ensure compliance with California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 9, and the AOD Certification Standards. Travel related duties may take up to a week at a time, and several weeks per month, dependent upon workload and operational need.

Telework and Salary Information
This position is currently designated as a field-based position that regularly conducts site visits and interacts with health care partners, providers, or others. This position may be eligible for telework up to five days a week. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change consistent with DHCS' Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 - 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required.
The selected candidate will be assigned an available DHCS office closest to their residence prior to their start date. The selected candidate will be required to report to their assigned DHCS office and other DHCS locations as needed.
Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee's designated office and residence subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
