Job Profile Summary Incumbent provides leadership and administrative support to the fifteen SMDC retail pharmacies (Lakeside, Hermantown, Superior, West, Hibbing, Virginia, IFalls, Hayward, Main Campus 3rd St. , Main Campus 1st St. , Lakewalk, Two Harbors, and Silver Bay). Meets and maintains all pharmacy standards and requirements as defined by various federal, state, and local regulatory and accrediting agencies. Directs and continually improves retail pharmacy operations, develops, monitors and reacts to operating and capital budgets/reports. Incumbent recruits, retains, supervises, and mentors all retail pharmacists and other pharmacy staff. Maintains effective and collaborative relationships with DC regional and neighborhood administrators and physician leaders as well as with relevant stakeholders and internal customers on the SMDC Main Campus. Role models and champions customer service processes. Develops and maintains effective relationships with university pharmacy programs, offers internships for pharmacy students, and is supportive of research opportunities needing pharmacist or department involvement. Develops and maintains various processes related to pharmaceutical consultation services for physicians, credentialed practitioners, and patients. Routine front-line staffing is not expected of this employee. However, incumbent may occasionally work as a front-line pharmacist to validate workflows, mentor/evaluate other pharmacists, and to maintain clinical skills. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others. Work Experience: Minimum of five years of experience as a pharmacist in charge. supervising pharmacists. Demonstrated leadership in pharmacy services.
Education Qualifications:

Graduate of a college of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Licensed as a registered pharmacist by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy or the Wisconsin Board of Pharmacy.

BLS certified within 90 days from hire date.
Immunization Delivery Certification completed within 1 year from hire date.

Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health\'s insurer FTE
