Job Summary

Overall Responsibility

The ideal candidate will be responsible for Set-up/ operating laser cutting machines with precision and efficiency. According to programs and preset parameters.

Operate and set up state of the art Amada ENSIS Fiber Laser with material tower automation. Plan lights out operations daily.

This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and the ability to work with various materials. The Laser Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality production standards while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Operate laser cutting machines, ensuring accurate cuts and adherence to specifications. Review cutting program and select correct cutting conditions. Load correct raw material. Monitor cutting performance and make appropriate operator level adjustments as required. Perform operator level maintenance as needed, daily and as scheduled. Maintain proper documentation required for production and maintenance. Remove parts from tower after cutting is complete. Direct part sakers and separators. Continuously maintain exceptionally clean/organized work area. Assist in other areas of metal prep department as needed. Able to use measuring equipment: tape measure and calipers. Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications. Hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications. Follow company policy and standards. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Familiar with load unload tower automation Proven experience operating laser cutting machines with automation. Basic math skills are essential for accurate measurements and calculations. Familiarity with programming laser machines is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills are required. Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers effectively. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A commitment to safety practices in the workplace is essential.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
