Duties



Develop and deliver educational presentations about Alaskan history, traditions, and customs to various audiences Organize and coordinate cultural events, festivals, and workshops that celebrate Alaskan heritage Collaborate with local communities, organizations, and schools to promote cultural awareness and participation Conduct research on Alaskan cultural practices to ensure accurate and respectful representation Create educational materials such as brochures, displays, and digital content to enhance public understanding of Alaska's culture Assist in planning and executing community outreach initiatives that highlight indigenous arts, crafts, music, and storytelling Maintain a database of cultural resources and contacts within the community Support the planning of special projects related to Alaskan history and traditions

Qualifications



Passion for Alaska's culture with an interest in history, indigenous traditions, or community development Excellent communication skills--both verbal and written Ability to engage diverse audiences in educational settings Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Experience in event planning or community outreach is a plus Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Prior knowledge of indigenous cultures or language skills related to Alaska is desirable but not required Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends if needed This position requires applicants to be at least 18 years old

Pay: $21.74 - $500.00 per hour
