Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor - Turbine Engine Operations



Job Type: Full-time

Starting Salary Pay: $80,000 + (Will be discussed per prior related working experience)

About the Role



We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day shop operations within our turbine engine maintenance division. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in aircraft or turbine maintenance, along with leadership experience in managing mechanics and coordinating production workflow.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and on-time project delivery. Prior experience supervising mechanics or technicians in an MRO or aviation maintenance environment is required. Familiarity with turbine or turboprop engines is beneficial but not mandatory.

Responsibilities



- Supervise daily maintenance, inspection, and assembly activities within the turbine engine or component repair shop

- Provide guidance, direction, and training to mechanics and technicians

- Coordinate workflow to ensure production goals and turnaround times are met

- Review work orders, inspection reports, and documentation for accuracy and compliance

- Monitor safety practices and enforce company and regulatory standards

- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and materials departments to resolve technical or scheduling issues

- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate priorities, project updates, and process improvements

- Assist with planning manpower requirements and evaluating employee performance

Qualifications



- 3-5+ years of aircraft or turbine engine maintenance experience in a shop, hangar, or MRO environment

- 2+ years of supervisory or lead technician experience preferred

- Strong understanding of aviation maintenance procedures, documentation, and safety standards

- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred (not required)

- Proven ability to manage workflow, coordinate multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

- Proficiency with maintenance documentation systems, Microsoft Office, or related tools

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a professional maintenance setting

Preferred Experience



- Previous experience leading a team of aircraft or turbine mechanics

- Exposure to turbine engine module assembly, testing, or component inspection

- Familiarity with FAA Part 145 maintenance operations or equivalent industry standards

Work Environment



Work performed in a secure, professional maintenance and repair facility. Supervisors may oversee both shop-floor and administrative tasks. Candidates within commuting distance are preferred.
