THE POSITION

If so, consider joining the Luzerne County Area Agency on Aging as an Aging Care Manager 1 in our Care Management Unit. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will oversee a unit of Managers and Aides as well as the Personal Emergency Response and Medical Supplies programs. Supervisory functions include assigning work, providing training and guidance, implementing procedures, and occasionally conducting field visits. You will have the opportunity to educate community groups on the services we provide as well as attend conferences where you will participate in networking activities. Additional program responsibilities include:

• Serving as a liaison with providers of emergency response services and medical supplies
• Arranging installation, removal, and repair of emergency response machines and equipment
• Reviewing invoices for accuracy
• Monitoring program spending
• Managing wait lists
• Handling consumer issues and grievances

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Three years as an Aging Case Aide 2; or
• A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by twelve (12) credits in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
