Aggregates Pit/ Strip Foreman

Wiregrass Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an Aggregates Pit/ Strip Foreman. The Foreman has direct oversight for the work performed by employees at the pit and strip site. This is a working foreman position.

What you will do:

Assist the Assistant Plant Superintendent in coordinating and overseeing the daily production schedule at the aggregate processing plant, by assuring availability of material to be processed. Monitor equipment performance, equipment functionality, to ensure efficient and continuous material to the plant. Supervise personnel, including loader operators, truck operators, and laborers. Collaborate with blasters, and drillers as needed to ensure available material. Support preventative maintenance and troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime. Monitor quality control processes and ensure compliance with material specifications. (More of a selection of choosing which material to process and waste) Help enforce company safety policies and ensure a safe working environment at all times. Keep accurate records of production, maintenance, and employee activities, this will include a per truck basis. Provide training and guidance to new employees as needed. Act as the lead in the absence of the Quarry Manager and the Assistant Plant Superintendent.

What you will need:

(Minimum qualifications)


3+ years of experience in aggregate plant operations or a related field. Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong understanding of crushing, screening, and material handling equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and plant schematics. Familiarity with safety regulations (MSHA/OSHA) and commitment to safety. Mechanical aptitude and ability to assist with plant maintenance and repairs. Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and in varying weather conditions, as needed. Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.
