The Manager, Portfolio Initiatives and Operating Efficiencies is a highly strategic role that owns and manages strategic portfolio initiatives to drive consistency and streamline ways of working across Marketing Centers of Excellence and supports key leadership initiatives. This position is critical to ensuring the entire team operates with agility and speed, by establishing and optimizing ways of working, defining key performance indicators and how to measure and report team performance, and championing team culture. This role is also responsible for leading agency relationships at a portfolio level. This person will operate interdepartmentally and report into the Director of Agency Management, Spend Optimization & Operating Efficiencies.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of progressive marketing or agency experience and a leadership style that fuses inspiration with a passion for making a difference.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Agency Relationship Management
  • Leverage agency acumen to cultivate best-in-class agency partnerships. Serve as a key portfolio point of contact for creative, PR, media, technology, and consumer engagement agencies and vendors.
  • Assist Director with optimization of agency ecosystem, including support for agency RFPs and agency transitions.
  • Lead semi-annual agency performance reviews to collect and deliver agency performance feedback and obtain feedback on KDP\xe2\x80\x99s performance to optimize ways of working. Lead direct conversations on opportunities and depersonalize feedback for both agency and internal teams. Create, implement, and monitor action plans to address opportunities.
  • Support Agency Scope Development and Fee Negotiations
  • In partnership with Content, CE, Media and/or Cultural Integrations teams, define brand-specific agency needs and deliverables to develop portfolio agency scopes/partnership agreements.
  • Leverage strong industry knowledge, agency and business acumen to help define agency deliverables, advise on staffing plans, track performance, and strategically drive efficiencies in fee negotiations.
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to support Director in analyzing and negotiating agency fee proposals.
  • Optimize and Standardize Team Reporting and Deliverables
  • Deploy a strong process orientation expertise to identify areas for department-wide optimizations to increase efficiency and speed-to-action.
  • Lead the development of streamlined ways of working by creating standard templates, cadence and structure across Consumer Engagement and Sponsorships teams, including standardization of business procedures, budgets and financial reporting.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication of interdepartmental project objectives and leadership expectations and provide oversight and monitoring for department-wide initiatives.

  • Lead portfolio strategic initiatives and special projects as identified by leadership to achieve business objectives.
  • Leverage project management expertise to lead assigned critical initiatives, based on organizational priorities, to improve productivity and positively impact business results.

Requirements:
  • Must have a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferrably in Marketing or advertising.
  • 3 plus years of progressive marketing experience, ideally including project management and cross-functional or agency management
  • CPG/Beverage experience from a Fortune 500 CPG corporation a plus
  • Ability to interface with executive-level leadership
  • This role is based at the KDP Frisco, TX office location. Relocation to Frisco area is required with approximately 10% travel.
