Afternoon Daycare Assistant (Part-Time)

Location:

Kids & Co. Childcare Center - 14 Center Bridge Rd., Turner, ME

Hours:

1:30 PM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday (4 hours per day)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and energetic individual to join our team as an Afternoon Daycare Assistant. This part-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and helping create a positive end-of-day experience. The Afternoon Daycare Assistant will support classrooms during transitions, help supervise activities, and assist with clean-up as children prepare to go home.

Responsibilities:

Greet and interact with parents and children during afternoon pick-up. Assist with transitioning children between activities and end-of-day routines. Supervise and engage children in play, crafts, outdoor time, and other activities. Help children as they wake up from nap (as needed), including bathroom routines and snack time. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. Assist teachers with general end-of-day tasks and cleaning.

Qualifications:

Passionate about working with children and being part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain professionalism during busy pick-up hours. Able to lift up to 30 lbs, bend often, and assist with daily childcare tasks. Previous childcare experience preferred but not required.
