Overview

The After Care Program Worker plays a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children for the Ignite Donnelly Aftercare Collaborative. This position involves supervising and supporting students in various activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to manage diverse classroom dynamics effectively.

Duties

Supervise children during after-school activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Follow plans for structured program activities Assist with homework help and provide support in various subjects as needed. Engage students in sports, arts, and crafts, encouraging creativity and teamwork. Communicate effectively with parents Collaborate with other staff members Maintain a clean and organized space conducive to learning and play

Experience

Previous experience working with children in settings such as daycare, after-school programs, or camps is highly desirable. Familiarity with early childhood education principles and childhood development is beneficial. Experience in tutoring or teaching subjects relevant to the age group served is a plus. First aid certification is required Ability to pass a background check A strong commitment to fostering a positive atmosphere for children's growth and development is crucial.
