Middle River Aerostructure Systems is a world-leading manufacturer of engine nacelles and specialized aerostructures. It supplies and supports these products for engine makers, airplane manufacturers and aircraft operators. Located on Maryland\'s Chesapeake Bay near Baltimore, MRAS has a 1.7-million sq. ft. facility situated on 180 acres \xe2\x80\x93 where the company and its predecessors have designed, built and equipped civil and military aircraft for over 90 years. MRAS is part of ST Engineering North America, the U.S. affiliate of Singapore-based ST Engineering. It is key part of a global network of aerospace facilities and offices.

Job Summary:

This role involves aerodynamic and aero-acoustic assessment of nacelles, EBU, exhaust systems, and aerostructures. This role requires working with integrated product teams on development programs, and consulting with subject-matter experts.

Job Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Perform aerodynamic analyses for loads generation and for performance characterization.

\xc2\xb7 Perform aero-acoustic analyses on pertinent nacelle surfaces and support trade studies for engine noise reduction to meet the nacelle acoustic requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Work with design team to provide recommendations on interface steps and gaps to meet the drag requirements on the system.

\xc2\xb7 Develop in-house engineering tools for drag evaluation of concept models, that can be easily utilized by the design team.

\xc2\xb7 Lead test activities for validation of concepts and simulation predictions.

\xc2\xb7 Participate in internal and customer reviews, and support engineering activities for integrated solutions.

\xc2\xb7 Support multiple programs concurrently as required. Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree or higher in Engineering from an accredited university or college.

\xc2\xb7 Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with Bachelor\'s degree or 3 years of relevant work experience with a Masters degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Desired Characteristics:

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated experience and knowledge in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, CFD and CAA.

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in meshing, use of engineering simulation and analysis tools like CFX and Fluent.

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge in computation and coding programs such as MATLAB, VBA or equivalent.

\xc2\xb7 Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and interact with customer.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently.

\xc2\xb7 Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
