Your daily duties will involve preparing job sites, assisting with the installation of aerial fiber, handling tools and equipment, and ensuring that safety protocols are consistently followed. The work can be demanding and may require lifting heavy items, climbing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Responsibilities



Assist aerial linemen with the installation and maintenance of overhead telecommunications cables. Prepare job sites by setting up necessary equipment and materials. Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed at all times during operations. Handle tools and equipment in a safe and proper manner to support linemen. Help with the removal of old cables and installation of new cables as directed. Provide support in the climbing and securing of poles and other structures as needed. Maintain accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and materials used on the job site. Other duties as assigned

Requirements



High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and good driving record. Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions. Basic knowledge of telecommunications systems and equipment preferred. Strong attention to safety and ability to follow safety protocols and regulations. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced linemen. Travel may be required
