Advanced Research Data Scientist, Senior

Key Role:

Advise and assist clients to advance life-saving biomedical technologies. Apply problem-solving skills to support programs focused on the discovery, development, transition, and delivery of medical countermeasure products for infectious disease indications, including COVID-19, Sepsis, ARDS, and Influenza. Advise federal program managers on program and portfolio strategy and help identify and mitigate risk and issues or technological gaps in the portfolio. Conduct market research and outreach to identify and provide scientific feedback on biomedical technologies and companies developing solutions for infectious disease threats. Perform independent quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methods to derive insights on client issues, evaluate trends, and assess potential solutions. Develop and support or lead communications of practical solutions to clients in the form of data-driven presentations, briefings, and reports. Support business development objectives by contributing to proposals and marketing efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience with management of biomedical research and development projects or contracts
  • Knowledge of biomedical product development with immunology and infectious diseases
  • Knowledge of FDA regulatory and clinical path activities for advanced development of biomedical products and technologies
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Master\'s degree
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with drug development in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of U.S. government contracting regulations and their use to support biomedical research and development, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Other Transactions Authority (OTA), and Cooperative Agreements (CA)
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal scientific communication skills
  • Doctorate degree in Immunology, Biology, or Chemistry
  • Project Management Certification, including Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual\xe2\x80\x99s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen\xe2\x80\x99s total compensation package for employees.
