Advanced Practice Provider - Supportive Oncology



Schedule:

part time 24-30hrs/week

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled

Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

--

Nurse Practitioner (NP)

or

Physician Assistant (PA)

-- to join our multidisciplinary

Supportive Oncology

team. The APP will play a vital role in providing holistic, patient-centered care to individuals living with cancer, focusing on symptom management, emotional support, quality of life, and coordination of care throughout the cancer journey.

Key Responsibilities



Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with cancer-related symptoms and treatment side effects in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaborate closely with oncologists, palliative care specialists, nurses, social workers, and other team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Offer counseling, education, and support to patients and families regarding symptom management, prognosis, and goals of care. Facilitate care coordination and communication across disciplines to ensure continuity and quality of care. Document patient encounters and clinical recommendations in the electronic medical record in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards. Engage in ongoing professional development, contribute to clinical education, program development, and research initiatives as appropriate.

Qualifications



Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with national certification as a Nurse Practitioner, or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current and unrestricted state licensure as an NP or PA. Minimum of [1-3] years of clinical experience in oncology, palliative care, internal medicine, or related field preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical assessment skills. Demonstrated commitment to compassionate, patient- and family-centered care.
