Summary

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team on a Locum Tenens basis. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality patient care. The locations are within driving distance of Charlotte, NC. Clinics are open 7 days per week-choose a flexible schedule - 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking and physical exams. Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and infections in an urgent care setting. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, EKGs, and lab work. Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with clinical guidelines. Perform minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, incision and drainage). Educate patients on preventive care, medications, and follow-up instructions. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Document patient encounters accurately using the Epic EMR system.

Qualifications

Education

: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP).

Licensure

: Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina. Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or equivalent. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
