Nurse Practitioner (APN)

with a passion for cardiovascular care to join our growing team.

Position Overview



We are seeking a

Full-Time Advanced Practice Nurse (APN)

to provide comprehensive outpatient cardiovascular care, including clinical evaluation, follow-up visits, chronic disease management, and support of vascular/OBL services. The ideal candidate is compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented, and eager to grow professionally within a collaborative, academically driven environment.

Key Responsibilities



Perform cardiovascular office visits, consultations, and follow-ups Manage patients with CAD, PAD, heart failure, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, arrhythmias, venous disease, and structural heart concerns Interpret basic cardiovascular diagnostics (ECG, stress tests, holter/patch results, vascular imaging with guidance) Participate in OBL days and perform essential nursing and patient care duties related to procedures Coordinate care with referring physicians, specialists, and internal team members Provide education on prevention, medications, risk reduction, and treatment plans Maintain timely and accurate charting (critical requirement) Support office operations and occasional phone triage during provider absences Collaborate with MA, RN, imaging, and administrative staff to optimize workflows Contribute to a positive, patient-first practice culture

Qualifications



Active New Jersey APN License (APN-C or APN-BC) required National board certification (AGACNP, FNP, or Adult NP accepted with strong CV experience) 1-2+ years of cardiology experience preferred (but will consider outstanding candidates from acute care/critical care backgrounds) Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced cardiovascular practice Ability to work independently and also collaboratively with physician leadership

Schedule



Monday-Friday, office hours

No nights, no weekends, no holidays, no call

Occasional flexibility required for procedural or patient-related needs
