Journey Center for Safety and Healing (formerly known as Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center) is a non-profit organization that fosters safety and healing for those affected by domestic violence and child abuse; and to prevent abuse through education; advocacy and systemic change


Purpose:


Journey Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Mental Health Therapist/Clinician to provide mental health services to adults who have been impacted by domestic violence. This role is essential in providing high-quality mental health services to individuals and families who have experienced trauma. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for clients.


Duties include but not limited to:

Provide mental health services including diagnostic assessments, individual behavioral health therapy, group behavioral health therapy, and telehealth therapy Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' goals and needs Provide information and referrals as needed Maintain full case load and accompanying electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA regulations regarding client confidentiality Maintain current licensure in the state of Ohio Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage crisis situations effectively Regularly attend scheduled staff and MDT meetings, group and individual supervision Represent Journey Center in public speaking engagements, education and training programs Able to promote discussions regarding supportive, collaborative, healthy relationships Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy

Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling required LSW or LPC required LISW or LPCC preferred
