Description:

CIFC Health, a project of Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc., seeks full-time Adult Medicine Float Registered Nurse (RN).

The RN works directly with clinicians, within the scope of RN licensure, to facilitate quality patient communication and care, and efficient patient flow. The RN may also assist in the preparation for procedures, recording of patient information, and clinical equipment maintenance.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Performs clinical assessments of patients in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychological & cognitive status.

2. Implements care in knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner.

3. Establishes priorities of patients care based on essential patient needs and available resources.

4. Evaluates effectiveness of care given and patient progression toward desired outcomes.

5. Identifies patient\'s/significant other\'s learning needs and implements appropriate measures to meet them.

6. Coordinates interdisciplinary functions.

7. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works under supervision of the Nursing Supervisor. Supervision is received through personal conferences, general observation of work in progress and bi-annual performance reviews by supervisor, with input from other core team members. Requirements:

Qualifications:

\xc2\xb7 Minimum formal education of Associate Degree and minimum of six months job-related experience; BSN desired (not required)

\xc2\xb7 Current CT RN license

\xc2\xb7 Bi-lingual capacity (English/Spanish or English/Portuguese) strongly preferred.
