Adult Education ESLTeacherFull-Time Position: up to 15hours per weekPart-Time Position: Part-time hours, flexible scheduling based on program needs (additional evening availability preferred)Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualificationsPosition Summary: Russellville School District is seeking a passionate and student-centered Part-Time ESL Teacher to support adult learners in achieving English language acquisition, workforce readiness, and academic success. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that embraces diverse cultures, backgrounds, and learning styles.This position will include both classroom instruction and individualized support to help adult learners progress through English language levels and meet their education and employment goals.Qualifications of Employment: Valid Arkansas Teaching License with ESL endorement.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to build positive relationships with adult learners from diverse backgrounds.Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) and online learning platforms.Preferred Qualifications: Current Arkansas teaching license or Adult Education teaching certification.Relevant eperience teaching English Language Learners.Interest in serving in a dual role as a Career Coach, supporting adult learners with resume building, digital literacy, employability skills, mock interviews, and career pathway planningExperience teaching adult learners or working in an educational setting.Bilingual proficiency.Duties and Responsibilities: Provide engaging instruction to adult ESL students aligned to state standards, NRS guidelines, and program goalsAssess student needs, track progress, and maintain accurate attendance and documentationIntegrate technology, digital literacy, and real-world application into daily instructionFoster a classroom culture of respect, encouragement, and growthCollaborate with Adult Education staff to support student enrollment, persistence, and measurable skill gainsIf serving in a combined ESL/Career Coach role, additional responsibilities may include: Supporting students with workforce preparation, career exploration, and postsecondary transitionsFacilitating workshops focused on employment readiness and workplace EnglishPartnering with community agencies and employers to support student success
