We have a part time and Full time Position available Monday Through Friday 8am-4pm/4:30pm. Experience in direct care, challenging behaviors, and knowledge of ADT services preferred.




Qualifications:


The Direct Support Professional to have, at a minimum:

A high school diploma or GED, and be at least 18 years or older: or be 21 years or older Ability to adequately communicate with recipients and staff A valid Social Security number or a valid work permit if not a US citizen Ability to read, understand, and implement written and oral instructions and have the ability to perform required documentation Must be able to meet the physical, and emotional demands of the consumer, which can include lifting, running, and de-escalating emotional situations Ability to meet all deadlines as required by AlmCare Ability to accept constructive criticism and willingness to self-improve Responsibilities: Represent the program's mission and core values of the organization to agencies, organizations, and the general public Be familiar with SCL and Michelle P Waiver regulations Provide eligible services to consumers while staying within the approved number of units as listed on their PA Teach the skills identified to meet each consumer's individualized goals, which can include, but not limited to social skills, personal care skills, money and budgeting skills, safety skills, and community integration Ensure consumers are always learning, and never bored Find creative and effective ways to teach skills, so that the consumer will have the greatest level of success Provide care necessary to meet the needs of the consumer, which can include assisting with personal care such as feeding, toiling, etc.. Provide transportation to activities as needed Provide assistance needed for the consumer to participate in community activities, which may include accompanying, assisting, and supervising the consumer during activities Document each service accurately and in a timely manner Participate in Person Centered Team Meetings as needed Complete all training in the required time frame and stay current on all recertification training Maintain a positive attitude at all times * Other duties as assigned
