Job Title: Admission Specialist part - time - Yonder Behavioral Health

Yonder Behavioral Health is a leading mental health facility dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to individuals seeking behavioral health services. We are currently seeking an experienced Admission Specialist to join our team, in a part-time, as needed basis. The ideal candidate will have a background in behavioral health, with expertise in admissions processes.

Position Summary: As an Admission Specialist at Yonder Behavioral Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of admissions processes. You will work closely with clinical staff, insurance providers, and external stakeholders to facilitate the admission process for patients seeking behavioral health services. The candidate must have a strong understanding of behavioral health care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate insurance requirements and treatment authorizations.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine appropriate levels of care and treatment needs. Coordinate and facilitate the admissions process, ensuring all necessary documentation and authorizations are obtained. Collaborate with clinical staff to review treatment plans and ensure alignment with insurance requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all admissions, authorizations, and related documentation. Educate patients and their families about insurance coverage, benefits, and any potential limitations or requirements. Stay current with changes in insurance regulations and requirements related to admissions and utilization review. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes and improve the overall patient experience. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of admissions and utilization review processes.
Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience with addiction recovery. 1-2 years of experience in behavioral health, with a focus on admissions. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant healthcare software systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
