Admissions Specialist

, where you'll play a key role in guiding patients through the admissions process. This position is responsible for handling incoming calls from referral sources and prospective patients, verifying insurance coverage, completing intake assessments, and entering patient information to initiate preadmissions.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage incoming calls from patients and referral sources Verify insurance and ensure accurate documentation Conduct intake assessments and enter patient demographics into the system Coordinate room changes and maintain the admissions waitlist Communicate admission details with nursing, physicians, and administrative staff

Qualifications & Skills:

Knowledge of insurance verification and healthcare processes Experience with intake assessments and EHR systems Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills Familiarity with medical terminology and hospital admission procedures Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment




POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education : Bachelor's degree in Human Services field or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience: Minimum 1-year experience in a clinical setting. Preferably inpatient drug and alcohol
