Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Long-Term Care Admissions Director to lead our home's referral and admissions process. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting and streamlining referrals and admissions, fostering relationships with prospective residents and their families, and promoting collaboration with local Health Care institutions. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the long-term care admission process. The Admissions Director will collaborate with various individuals, groups, departments and hospitals to ensure a seamless referral and admissions process and uphold the Davenport Lutheran Home's mission and values.

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract prospective residents and referrals. Oversee the application review process, making admission decisions in alignment with institutional policies and goals. Manage the admissions process taking calls and referrals, providing tours and gathering essential information. Provide information and guidance to prospective residents regarding admission procedures, finances, and choices. Facilitate completion of necessary admission documents, legal contracts, registries and insurance preauthorization. Collaborate with departments to understand the needs of newly admitted residents. Lead recruiting efforts through outreach initiatives. Maintain relationships with individuals, families, community groups, healthcare providers & institutions and other medical partners to foster ongoing referrals. Monitor admission trends and prepare reports for administrative leadership for strategic planning.

Qualifications

Prefer Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse. Experience in Long-Term care admission process. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Leadership qualities with experience directing staff. Motivated professional passionate about promoting skilled & long-term care services

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
