Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and personable

Admissions Coordinator

to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents and families, ensuring a smooth and welcoming admissions experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary contact for all admission inquiries, providing information and guidance to residents, families, hospitals, and referral sources. Coordinate and facilitate the admissions process from initial inquiry to move-in. Conduct facility tours and present services in a professional and compassionate manner. Verify insurance benefits, obtain necessary authorizations, and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to evaluate admissions. Maintain all admissions documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners, including hospitals, case managers, and community organizations. Track admissions metrics and prepare reports as needed. Participate in marketing and community outreach activities when appropriate.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred. Previous experience in healthcare admissions, social services, case management, or related role strongly preferred. Knowledge of insurance processes, Medicare/Medicaid, and managed care plans beneficial. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and multitasking capability. Compassionate, customer-service focused approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
