Beal University in Bangor Maine is looking for an Admissions Representative.

The ideal candidate in this position will bring a think outside of the box mentality, creativity and a high level of interpersonal communication skills. Excellent critical thinking, time management and strong computer and telephone skills are necessary for this role. Admissions representatives assist prospective students by assessing their skills and interests and guiding them through the enrollment process.

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

Identify and understand student's needs and clearly articulate institutional offerings and differentiators to prospective students through consistent outreach. Serve as the subject matter expert for the assigned degree program(s) ensuring that prospective students receive accurate, ethical advice that is consistent and compliant with University's policies and procedures. Attend & lead virtual and in-person events, career fairs, open houses and other recruitment presentations/events as scheduled by the enrollment management team with a superb ability to articulate and demonstrate broad program knowledge. Develop, implement and execute recruitment activities to generate referrals from high school presentations, community outreach and other sources. Respond to all prospective students with a sense of urgency; effectively working with the prospective student through the admissions process through first day or matriculation. Liaise with other functional teams to ensure the student is progressing towards completion of required steps prior to cohort start day. Maintain active communication with students at all stages of the enrollment cycle. Ability to be flexible in your schedule at times to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the position. Participate in ongoing training in professional development through in-house training, seminars, conference. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

3+ years of phone-based experience in a sales, customer service or related field, higher education industry experience a plus.

Prior experience in an enrollment role is a plus.

Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Positive and driven attitude with excellent organizational skills.

Strong working knowledge of relevant technology, including MS Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment.
