What We're Looking For



The ideal candidate will demonstrate:


A solid understanding of administrative processes, reporting tools, and data management systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external partners. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software, especially spreadsheets and database tools. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in tracking data, preparing reports, and monitoring compliance. The ability to organize work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to evolving needs. Sound judgment in handling sensitive information and making informed decisions within established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities



As an Administrative Technician, you will:


Provide advanced administrative and technical support across program or unit operations. Research, compile, and analyze data from multiple sources to support reporting, planning, and compliance efforts. Prepare documents, reports, charts, and presentations using advanced features of software applications. Maintain and update tracking systems and monitoring tools to support project timelines, budgets, or goals. Coordinate meetings, conferences, and schedules; prepare agendas and record official meeting minutes. Support software users by offering guidance, training, and documentation related to specialized systems or applications. Assist in interpreting and applying administrative policies and procedures, and respond to inquiries from staff, other agencies, or the public. Participate in process improvement efforts and may assist in training or guiding other team members.



Requirements/Qualifications



Minimum Qualifications:

Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management

Preferred Qualifications



Relevant Experience



At least two years of administrative or technical support experience in a government or professional setting, demonstrating the ability to handle complex tasks independently

.



Technical Proficiency



Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite -- especially Excel (e.g., creating reports, charts, using formulas) -- and familiarity with databases or enterprise systems.


Policy and Procedure Application



Proven ability to interpret, apply, and explain administrative policies, procedures, or regulations in daily operations or when supporting staff and stakeholders.

Administrative Expertise

: Knowledge of office procedures, reporting, data management, and administrative policies in professional or government settings.

Technical Skills

: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (formulas, charts, data analysis), and familiar with databases and tracking systems.

: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with staff, creating clear documents, and providing user support.

Organization & Time Management

: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines independently.

: Accurate in reviewing data, tracking progress, and ensuring quality in documents and reports.

: Flexible in responding to changing needs, and collaborative in supporting team projects and continuous improvement efforts.
