Performs a variety of secretarial, clerical, and public-contact duties, involving routine and occasionally complex tasks. Responsibilities include preparing correspondence, entering information into computerized systems, maintaining various office records, and assisting with day-to-day administrative needs. Supports programs and special events operations by providing information to the public, receiving and processing applications, and assisting with permitting procedures. Additional duties include coordinating cash accounting with fiscal staff; ensuring payments are collected, recorded, and reconciled according to County guidelines; maintaining programs and registration information; preparing and submitting computerized payroll. Performs departmental reconciliation of accounting and attendance records; uses standard office and County software; assists with the review of work procedures, as needed. Work is performed under general supervision and reviewed for adherence to established policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

:



Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of

responsible office experience

, which includes six (6) months reviewing, overseeing, and leading the work of others.



PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE IN/WITH

:

Using Central Accounting Reporting System (CARS) (must specify on application)

; using RecTrac software or similar

; using Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook); interacting with the public in person and over the telephone
