The overall function of this position is to serve as the Assistant District Administrator - Business as a member of the District Executive Staff. As such, the incumbent is the Business Owner with overall responsibility for program administration, implementation, and compliance of the Accounting, Procurement, Training, and Workforce Development sections of the district.
Minimum Qualifications
Eight years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years of experience in administrative services; OR
A bachelor's degree plus five years of experience in administrative services; OR
An advanced degree plus four years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Direct the development, monitoring, and controlling of District Budget.
Direct District operations pertaining to the LaGov system, which includes PTMW, AGILE Assets, Systems Applications and Products (SAP), Enterprise Resource Planning
(ERP) and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
Direct the payroll process for 220 District employees.
Develop and/or participate in the development of strategic plans, goals, and objectives associated with financial and business management.
Advise the District Administrator on a wide variety of issues related to business operations, including but not limited to Budget, Procurement, and Contractual compliance.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as probational, job appointment, detail to special duty, or promotion of a current DOTD employee.
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a CPG and will be filled as an Administrative Program Director 3.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
Compensation: Depends on qualifications; at minimum $28.98/hour.
