We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Legal Assistant to support our legal team across a variety of practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal research and document management skills, along with excellent administrative capabilities. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic law office environment, providing essential clerical and project management support to attorneys and paralegals. The position requires a proactive individual with exceptional organizational skills and a solid understanding of legal procedures and systems. This candidate must be a self starter and field multiple phone calls from clients.
Responsibilities
Provide executive administrative support to attorneys and legal staff, including scheduling, correspondence, uploading case billing and subsequent case Accounts Payable and overall file management.
Conduct legal research using LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case preparation and strategy
Manage legal case files using CLIO
Draft, proofread, and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, reports, and correspondence
Review documents for accuracy and completeness; perform document review and data entry tasks
Assist with litigation support activities such as document review, transcription, and filing in compliance with court procedures
Maintain organized case files and ensure timely updates of case statuses in legal case management systems
Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and maintain excellent phone etiquette
Perform clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, receiving and sending packages and managing document flow within the office
Skills
Proven experience or familiarity with various areas of law including personal injury education, professional license defense, and immigration law.
Strong legal research skills utilizing LexisNexis, and other platforms
Experience with legal case management software CLIO
Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence
Proficiency in proofreading and transcription to ensure accuracy of legal materials
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills
Knowledge of contracts and document management systems; experience with data entry and filing processes
Effective communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette
Demonstrated clerical experience within a law office setting; administrative experience preferred
Strong attention to detail in proofreading and legal drafting tasks; ability to conduct thorough legal research
Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
