Qualifications:
Required:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • 2 years' experience in the Operating Room Department
  • Completion of all Orientation requirements of NBIMC.
  • Successful completion of all Orientation programs required by NBIMC.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills
Preferred:
  • BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
  • I.V. certification from an approved facility or completion of those requirements preferred.
Certifications and Licenses Required:
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
  • ACLS
  • Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
Scheduling Requirements:
  • Day Shift, 37.5 hours per week
Essential Functions:
  • The Administrative Director of Patient Care is responsible for assisting the Patient care Service Executive Council in defining, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the philosophy and objectives for their designated areas to ensure the optimal delivery of care and services to all patients in an environment that promotes professional development and continues to assure financial viability, The primary goal is the delivery of competent, efficient and cost-effective care, Ensure that Operating Room and Endoscopy is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.
  • Contributes to improving quality services and productivity (takes the initiative to continually evaluate one's work, report problems, suggest solutions and try new ideas)
  • Facilitates interdisciplinary communication and collaboration with all members of health care team, patient, and family by participating with unit level staff, medical staff, department managers to promote coordination of services; collaborating with Education Specialist and APN to meet educational needs of the unit staff; acting as a liaison between family, patient, physician and staff; plans and promotes for leadership succession; Balances professional and personal pursuits; Demonstrates principles of self-care and supports members of the health care team in self-care practices
