This role carries full responsibility for the site's financial performance, human capital management, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on leader skilled in establishing stable, customer-focused operational frameworks and championing continuous improvement.
The Hiring Manager is specifically looking for candidates with extensive Ambulatory Operations and Leadership experience.
Core Responsibilities
As the on-site operational leader, you will drive success through strategic vision and daily execution:
Strategic Leadership:
Articulate a clear vision that aligns the site's activities with broader system goals. Establish challenging, "stretch" objectives for yourself and the team to foster continuous growth.
Operational Excellence & Financial Health:
Prepare, present, and manage the annual department budget and monthly results. Monitor financial performance closely and hold department leadership accountable for achieving budget targets and correcting variances.
Team & Culture Building:
Establish and maintain strong rapport with all individuals at the assigned location, fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages open communication, trust, and effective teamwork.
Regulatory Compliance:
Understand, translate, and ensure the location abides by all local, state, and federal laws and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with system leadership to ensure compliance and a positive patient experience.
Customer Focus & Improvement:
Make patient/customer satisfaction a high priority. Create, develop, and implement customer-focused processes and methods of operation, continually listening to and responding to internal and external customer needs.
Process Improvement & Change Management:
Facilitate continual process improvements across all assigned operations and systems. Effectively communicate change objectives and implementation strategies to ensure successful execution.
Clinical Collaboration:
In collaboration with the site's Medical Director and Nurse Manager, oversee the development and implementation of clinical protocols and standards of practice.
Qualifications and Experience
Education (Required)
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, preferably in Healthcare Administration or equivalent.
Education (Preferred)
Master's Degree, or enrollment within the first year of employment, in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration.
Experience (Highly Preferred) 5 years of operations management experience
, with a strong preference for management experience in an outpatient ambulatory care, rural health center, or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting.
Experience (Highly Preferred)
Demonstrated experience involving
change management and quality improvement
initiatives.
Specialized Skills (Required)
Strong background in business planning and financial analysis.
Interpersonal Skills (Essential)
The ability to relate to and deal effectively with physicians, administrators, clinical staff, support staff, and the general public with a
high degree of tact and discretion

Certification (Preferred)
Rural Health Center Certification. Expectation to achieve this certification within the first year of employment.
General Skills (Required)
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, effectively work with others to achieve organizational goals, and possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
