The College of Dentistry is looking for an Administrative Coordinator I to serve in our Pediatric Dentistry department. What you need to know
Proposed Salary: $47,000.00 annually, based on selected hire's qualifications.
Work Schedule/Location: Located in Dallas, TX, this an on-site role with a typical schedule of Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two years of related experience in office administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Administrative experience supporting a clinic.
Familiarity working in a clinic environment.
Responsibilities:
Scheduling
Oversees planning and execution of administrative operations related to the predoctoral and graduate pediatric program, schedules, eligibility, and accurate fee assignments.
Maintains clinic appointment calendar and provides monitoring support as a liaison for patients, parents, students, and faculty scheduling needs.
Participates in strategic scheduling to ensure adequate faculty, resident and student clinical coverage.
Sedation & Hospital Case Coordination
Manages all aspects of IV sedation scheduling, documentation and approvals
Coordinates documentation for hospital OR cases.
Oversees patient & referral management. Coordinates patient intake, registration, and scheduling.
Manages incoming and outgoing referrals (to and from other providers). Ensures accurate and secure documentation of patient information.
Maintains communication between patients, providers, and external offices.
Communicates with families to support navigation of complex care pathways.
Educational Support
Maintains and updates student rotation schedules (predoctoral and hygiene).
Coordinates records retention and maintains/provides Axium chart access, monitors attendance, and tracks student requirements.
Develops and maintains pediatric clinic manuals.
Researches and responds to inquiries about clinic procedures and processes and assists in training clinical support staff.
Serves as primary or backup administrative support to assigned functional areas.
Access to Care
Analyzes eligibility and processes Musick/McJimpsey fund applications, expanding access to care for underserved children.
