The Department of Workplace Standards, Division of Occupation Safety and Health (OSH) Education & Training, seeks an Administrative Branch Manager in the OSH Training Branch. This position will provide overall management of the administrative training program and training branch staff.



This position will have access to confidential and sensitive information. The successful candidate will be required to ensure the safeguarding and security of all confidential and sensitive information and will be required to complete trainings, sign acknowledgments, follow all policies, and adhere to all statutes and requirements pertaining to the safeguarding and security of confidential and sensitive information while employed and after employment ends.



Duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:Manages the activities of the training branch, including the development and administrative training modules and webinars. Coordinates eLearning projects with program managers with the Division of OSH Education and Training, recommends options to improve eLearning resources, and notifies leadership of actual and potential problems related to eLearning resources. Oversees, develops, and maintains learning systems for the development, implementation, and administration of eLearning webinars and modules, including data gathering and tracking of participant surveys and feedback mechanisms. Ensures that eLearning databases and associated files are kept current and accurate. Oversees and uses eLearning resources and technical expertise to fulfill other requested tasks for the agency. Provides assistance to staff members on projects that require professional expertise. Ensures all products are accessible. Prepares and presents to leadership reports on eLearning measures, including resource development, work products, outputs, marketing, and project needs. Monitors and analyzes trends relative to eLearning needs in the Commonwealth, stays aware of new eLearning technologies, and evaluates their possible application to eLearning. Evaluates the performance of training branch staff. Reviews staff requests for leave, monitors the need for staff training, and addresses performance issues.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION:

Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.



EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:

Five years of professional administrative experience.



Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:

A master's degree in public or business administration or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.



Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:

Additional administrative, business or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
