Overview


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in supporting daily office operations of the police department, managing communications, and ensuring smooth workflow. The ideal candidate will possess strong office skills, proficiency in various computer applications, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities



Assisting the Chief of Police and City Prosecutor Perform data entry, filing, and document proofreading to ensure accuracy and organization and a clean office environment Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace for document creation, email correspondence, and scheduling Coordinate calendar management and appointment scheduling for leadership staff Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed to ensure operational efficiency Support office management tasks such as organizing meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence Provide clerical support including typing, photocopying, scanning, and mailing documents Contribute to a positive work environment through effective communication and organizational skills

Experience



Prior office experience is required; experience in a legal or law enforcement office is a plus Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace tools Experience with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Excellent typing speed and accuracy; familiarity with data entry and proofreading tasks Knowledge of office management procedures, clerical practices, and basic bookkeeping (QuickBooks) will be advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
