Position: Administrative Assistant



Location: Sikeston, MO (On-site only- No Remote)



Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)



Salary Range: Mid to High $30,000s

-Negotiable based on education and experience



Position Summary



This position ensures efficient operational workflows, supports leadership in managing organizational priorities, and maintains the accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive administrative, financial, and HR-related information. The role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, excellent communication skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.

Candidates selected for an interview must be prepared to demonstrate relevant skills and experience.



Key Responsibilities



Perform administrative and clerical tasks with efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism while ensuring outstanding customer service. Draft and prepare general correspondence and mailings as needed. Support direct and incoming calls; respond to general inquiries. Assist with general HR functions, including employee onboarding processes. Schedule appointments and meetings, including managing calendars and logistics. Coordinate and assist with virtual platform activities (Zoom, Teams). Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA privacy standards. Assist in generating invoices for financial management systems Work with Finance Operations to ensure compliance with accounting practices

Preferred Experience



Experience in HR support, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or nonprofit financial systems. Experience working in Maternal & Child Health, public health, or early childhood programs. Prior experience supporting management leadership. Familiarity with grant management, EHB systems, or compliance reporting.

Qualifications



Associate degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Human Services, or related field;

equivalent experience may substitute.

Three (3) years of administrative support experience, preferably in a nonprofit or community health setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and general office technology. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, customer service skills. Ability to manage confidential health-related information (HIPAA awareness preferred). Must be able to sit for extended periods and lift to 35 lbs.
