This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Region III Community Corrections in the Directors Office.




The mission of the Administrative Assistant II is to provide exceptional administrative support to the Regional Director by efficiently managing secretarial and office tasks, ensuring timely completion of projects, and maintaining organized and up-to-date policy documents. We are dedicated to facilitating effective communication, scheduling, and information management to support the Director's goals and enhance the overall efficiency of the department.




This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.




JOB DUTIES:

Manages all secretarial and office tasks, coordinates projects, and ensures deadlines are met. Keeps policy documents updated.


Handles incoming mail and phone calls for the Regional Director, writes replies, and provides information when the Director's attention is not needed. Acts as the recording secretary for meetings, prepares minutes, manages the Director's calendar, schedules appointments, and makes travel arrangements. Researches and prepares reports for the Director, gathers information for meetings and speeches. Maintains an organized filing system to keep track of important documents and deadlines.

Beginning July 1, 2024, there is no longer a reemployment limitation; beginning with the 7th calendar month from the member's distribution date, there are no restrictions on working for an FRS employer.
