Position Title: Development Administrative Assistant
Position Objective: Representing Hope Gospel Mission with faith focused, professional demeanor in every interaction, verbal and written. Providing a cohesive, detail orientated office environment and supporting office and development personnel administratively, within the scope of job duties.
Supervisor: Development Manager
Classification: Part-time, non-exempt
Shift/Schedule: Between the working days of M-F, hours between 8:30am - 4:30pm
Summary of Responsibility:
Reflect a professional image, attitude, and demeanor representing Hope Gospel Mission with all applicants, residents, donors, office guests, etc
Greet and ensure a welcoming environment to all those entering the Administrative Office
Communicate professionally when answering the phone, sending internal correspondence, taking detailed messages, and answering office related questions
Monitor and schedule events utilizing Google Calendar, work email, tours, daily events, etc.
Ensure administrative office is kept clean and organized
Acquire a good understanding of company programs, policies, and protocol in order to speak well to others about HGM's organization
Assist with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for data entry and donation processing
Proof-read all donor and marketing communications such as quarterly newsletters, notification of upcoming events, etc.
Assist the Development team with major donor thank you cards, new donor welcome calls, oversight of coin boxes, etc.
Maintain donor confidentiality
Assist with staff events, Board of Directors meetings, Hygiene Drive and other events as needed
Assist all office departments as directed within scope of duties including Human Resources, Accounting, and Programs but especially Development and Community Relations
Other administrative duties as needed
Experience, Education, and Requirements:
Mature Christian in agreement with Hope Gospel Mission's faith statement
High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Previous leadership or administrative experience preferred
Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Experience with complex file management
Concise electronic communication (email, programs, etc)
Outstanding communicator; both verbal and written
Professional office demeanor and image
Ability to navigate crisis in a calm and professional manner
Computer literate and familiar with common office equipment use (printer, copier, fax etc)
Competent and knowledge in: Gmail, Google Calendar, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Strong problem solver, analytical thinker and ability to show discernment
Ability to prioritize given tasks and work efficiently towards completing them
Current driver's license and ability to meet approval requirements of HGM's insurance company for driving mission vehicles
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
