We are currently hiring an
Administrative Assistant
to support one of our cabinet manufacturing companies located in the Ames, Iowa metro area. This is a great opportunity to join an established, reputable business that takes pride in craftsmanship, customer service, and teamwork.
Position Overview:
We're seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and personable professional to assist our sales and design teams with administrative, customer service, and document management tasks. This role supports the full customer journey--from initial inquiry through project completion--and plays a vital role in maintaining an organized, efficient office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for customers via phone and email, providing friendly, professional service
Prepare and organize documents for design meetings, ensuring project details are accurate and complete
Edit and finalize customer contracts and sales documents prior to approval
Coordinate with sales, design, and production teams to maintain up-to-date project information
Maintain organized digital and physical files, including project folders, contracts, and customer records
Assist with general office and administrative tasks, such as scheduling, data entry, and ordering supplies
Support special projects and other duties as assigned to keep daily operations running smoothly
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in an administrative, customer service, or office support role
Strong communication and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Professional, courteous, and dependable demeanor
Experience in construction, remodeling, or cabinetry industry preferred but not required
