Responsibilities:
- Assist the owner with the daily operations of a busy dental practice
- Maintain and update medical records using electronic health record systems including Dentrix and Dexis
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with the coordination and scheduling of appointments for patients
- Help manage the office budget and financial transactions
- Assist with human resource tasks such as payroll, benefits administration, and staff scheduling
- Help provide administrative support to dental providers (dentists and hygienists)
- Collaborate with other offices within the dental group, and referrals to dental or medical specialists to ensure smooth operations
- Assist owner implement and maintain efficient office procedures and workflows
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a leadership position at a dental office, or as an Administrative Assistant in a professional role, or a similar role is preferred
- Prefer proficiency in using practice management software such as Dentrix or similar systems
- Knowledge of dental insurance billing and coding processes would be beneficial
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management principles
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and dental providers
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Prefer candidate have a college degree in business, management, accounting, or other similar subject. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel. Experience in QuickBooks desired
